Founded in 1953, St. Joseph School is a SACS accredited Catholic co-educational elementary school, Pre-K through
Eighth Grade, operated by the Catholic Diocese of
Nashville and staffed by the Pastor of St. Joseph
Church, Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia
Congregation and Lay Faculty.

St. Joseph Golf Classic
May 9, 2008
Last year's St. Joseph Golf Classic was held on May 12,
2007 at Through the Green at Highland Rim in
Joelton, Tennessee. The 130+ golfers gathered on a
beautiful Spring day for fellowship and fun. Over
$16,000 was raised towards the Tuition Assistance
Program and to enhance other programs.

Catholic Schools offer
Grade A Education

One of the pillars of Catholic education is academic achievement. And schools across the Diocese of Nashville are achieving standardized test scores above the national average.
The results of the 2007 Iowa Test of Basic Skills, the standardized test administered in elementary schools in the diocese each spring, show students averaging scores above their grade level in every subject.

Joseph Blue & Gold Gala

This year's Blue & Gold Gala was held at Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club in Hendersonville. Long time volunteer and parent Mary Kay West and teacher Gordon Postal, who taught at St. Joseph School for 19 years were honored.

8th Grade Students Visit
Smithson-Craighead Academy
April, 2008
The 8th Grade class has been visiting Smithson-Craighead Academy in Nashville on a monthly basis since Septemeber. What started as the class Service Project has blossomed in to Friendships with students and teachers alike.
Smithson-Craighead Academy, located in northeast Nashville, currently serves 185 at-risk children in kindergarten through grade four and was the first charter school in Metro Nashville.
